Mechanical Engineer
Responsible for the engineering and supervision of assigned projects. Designing, constructing and detailing customer-oriented equipment for the bakery industry.
Based in the Netherlands, Bakon designs innovative machines and equipment for the bakery and food industry, emphasizing quality, efficiency, and sustainability. You are part of a project team that works in different phases: from design to implementation. Together with colleagues from various disciplines, you discuss the composition of descriptions and technical specifications. In short: as a Mechanical Engineer, you are involved in everything.
Job description Mechanical Engineer R&D
- You are one of the important links in all projects where innovation and improvement of the entire Bakon range is central.
- Activities vary from brainstorming during the concept phase to modeling based on customer requirements. You do this together with R&D colleagues where innovation, creativity and attention to detail are paramount.
- You are part of the R&D project team together with the Electrical engineer R&D and the Software engineer R&D.
- You work closely with your R&D colleagues and together you supervise R&D projects and participate in strategic innovation sessions.
Teamwork and taking initiative are very important within this position.
- You think out of the box about innovative solutions and you know exactly how to implement your ideas.
- You contribute new ideas and possibilities in the field of Mechanical engineering in the broadest sense of the word. In doing so, you take into account the technical possibilities, ergonomics and social changes in the market. Ambition and knowledge of the market is important and that is why we stimulate education, trade fair and company visits and additional courses.
- In collaboration with R&D colleagues, CTO blocks are developed and optimized.
Function, skills & competences
- You can work independently and closely with the project office department.
- You have a proactive and solution-oriented attitude.
- You are inventive.
- Developing the technical design of various machines.
- Updating project drawings following revision work.
Knowledge and experience:
- You have completed a higher professional education in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- In addition to Dutch, you also speak English.
- Several years of experience in a similar position in mechanical engineering (food industry is a plus).
- Experience with 2D (Autocad) and 3D systems (Solidworks).
